Yoga Classes Workshops Retreats Teacher Training For Cancer

Taking care of your mind, body and soul.

I’m a London-based yoga teacher offering friendly, accessible classes both in-studio and online, so you can practice from wherever you are located. I teach a combination of open level classes, that are for anyone interested in yoga, and specialist yoga for cancer classes that address side effects of treatment for cancer.

I have been teaching yoga since 2008 and have found that yoga really has helped me adapt to the changes in my body and the busyness of my mind. It helps to settle my mind, stay grounded and feel more resilient to the constant changes of life. I feel more at ease and more in control when I practice yoga and it’s this that I really would love to share with you.

Yoga can be empowering when you realise that tools you have learnt in a class are useful to you in your real life. It might be a breathing exercise to ease anxiety, a stretch to release tension in a tight spot, or a strengthening practice that helps with fatigue. You can take what you learn on your mat and use it in your everyday life.

Until 2020, I taught yoga in studios across London. When lockdowns began, I moved my classes online and something unexpected and wonderful happened: an online community was born.

Each class begins with time to take requests, to listen, and to understand what people most need support with, in that moment. Students often share their side effects, challenges, and experiences, and it creates a caring space. There is something powerful about realising you are not alone – that others understand and might be going through something similar.

The advantages of being online are that if your immune system is low you don’t need to travel, if you are low on energy, you can be in your bed or come into relaxation at any point during the class. There is lots of research now into the benefits of yoga for cancer, but I also hear every class anecdotal evidence of how people feel better from attending a class..
